On March 18th 2025, Tech4Regen revealed the 16 startups selected for its new season. Led by Bertrand Klaiber, Tech4Regen is an 8-month equity-free startup accelerator program from EPFL Innovation Park dedicated to fostering regenerative entrepreneurship.

SEALSQ Corp, a subsidiary of WISeKey, and WeCanGroup SA have entered into a strategic agreement under which SEALSQ will acquire a 30% equity stake in WeCanGroup. SEALSQ, WISeKey, and WeCanGroup will integrate their Web 3.0 and post-quantum cryptographic technologies to develop advanced Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Object (KYO) solutions.

The First Ventures program provides funding to students at Universities of Applied Sciences to accelerate the development of their projects. Seven ambitious projects have been selected to benefit from the program, focusing on innovative solutions for industry and healthcare applications. 

The 2025 START Summitter Award went to cleantech startup Emissium, which provides electricity emissions data, enabling companies to track, monitor, and reduce their electrical footprint. In addition to a CHF 10’000 cash prize, the startup secured an investment of €0.5 million from b2ventures to scale its impact.

The Foundation for Clean Energy and Energy Inclusion for Africa (CEI Africa) has invested EUR 1.1M in MPower Ventures AG to accelerate clean energy access. Swiss startup AdAstra Sustainability is launching Orbae, a free web platform leveraging publicly available science to deepen understanding of agricultural impacts. Orbae is the first technology to automatically calculate environmental metrics on land conversion for commodities worldwide in 30-meter resolution, enabling more targeted interventions to end deforestation. Six of the world’s largest food and agriculture companies have already adopted Orbae data.
