Tokenization pioneers Dynasty Global Investments AG and BrickMark Group AG, based in Zug, finalized their strategic partnership agreement last weekend with Dynasty’s acquisition of a strategic stake in BrickMark as part of a Series A Financing. The closing was marked by the transaction of the investment amount equalling CHF 10 million, which was executed with Dynasty’s payment token D¥N in real time on the Ethereum Blockchain in front of the participants of the Swiss Web3 Fest last Saturday.

The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA has opened bankruptcy proceedings against FlowBank SA on 13 June 2024. This measure became necessary as the bank no longer has the minimum capital required for its business operations. There are also fears that the bank is over-indebted.

Aktiia, the Swiss startup revolutionizing Blood Pressure (BP) monitoring and management, has received regulatory approval for its optical technology that does not require calibration with a traditional cuff. The CE mark allows market access to potentially over 40 countries. The underlying technology uses input from optical sensors commonly found in either smartwatches or the cameras of commercial smartphones. This is a crucial first step towards integrating Aktiia’s technology into various third-party devices.

Anaveon has obtained approval from the FDA to launch first-in-human clinical trial for its second cancer drug ANV600, Oculis successfully completed the phase 2b clinical trial with licaminlimab, the first dry eye disease medication while MoonLake is entering phase 3 trials. These developments play a crucial role in advancing the startups’ drug development strategies and bringing new therapies to patients.   

Ondefy Labs, the team behind the Ondefy dApp, has built and launched Zyfi, providing a set of tools and infrastructure designed to enable gasless on-chain transactions. Zefi has obtained fresh capital of $2 million in a private funding round to accelerate the adoption of zkSync's account abstraction capabilities in the Ethereum ecosystem.

The Foundation for Technological Innovation (FIT) is awarding two loans to HemostOD and its innovative solution for producing blood platelets rapidly and on a large scale, and to Emissium and its software that enables users to monitor, improve and reduce their electricity-related emissions. The former is receiving a Tech Growth loan of CHF 500,000, the latter a Tech Seed loan of CHF 100,000.

Sensars, developing neuromodulation technology for the treatment of chronic pain and sensory loss, has received a pre-seed investment from HTH and secured an Eurostars grant of EUR 500k as well as a further grant of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research of EUR 600k.
