Dear Reader
In its current European Venture & Growth Equity Bulletin London-based Go4Venture sees a broad upturn in the European venture capital market. This fits in with the news from Switzerland. At the 15th ICT Investors‘ Day a new club for business angels was announced.
A name has not yet been decided, but many prominent members have already signed up, including Thomas Dübendorfer, Dania Gerhardt, Pascal Mathis and Myke Näf.
Good news from the platform Investiere: through its members, it has been able to collect CHF500,000 for the start-up Sherpany in just three weeks. Overall, Sherpany has generated CHF 1.8 million.
And, finally, three reports that demonstrate that Swiss start-ups are not only attractive to angels, but also to established companies.
The internet start-up dodiz.com intends to show along with the news portal Watson a new route in native advertising.
Along with a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, GlycoVaxyn is beginning tests of a new vaccine against urinary tract infections.
And in the second quarter of 2015, Molecular Partners will begin the third and final phase of clinical testing of a new ophthalmic agent with US pharmaceutical company Allergan.
A good start to the summer and an enjoyable weekend.
