YouHodler opens Lausanne headquarters

YouHodler helps people access the benefits of the crypto economy. The fintech was established by Ilya Volkov in 2017. After a year of product and tech development, its platform was launched in 2018. Today the startup just opened its Swiss Headquarters in Lausanne, thanks to support of Innovaud and Switzerland Global Enterprise (SGE). The company has also offices in Cyprus.

Speaking of his company and offices roles, CEO a founder Ilya Volkov explains to Startupticker.ch, that YouHodler SA (Switzerland) operates as a financial intermediary and based on its affiliation with SRO Polyreg and having a Pawnbroker licence, the company provides its customers with crypto-backed loans and crypto conversion services. YouHodler in Cyprus provides its customers with crypto-reward accounts, as well as a variety of crypto-backed lending solutions. 

Currently employing 6 people, the Vaud fintech plans to grow its team to up 15 during the next year of operations. The company aims to further develop into a customer-centric, retail-focused FinTech company that supports the coexistence of crypto and fiat finance and offers a sophisticated range of financial products that meet international compliance. 

A favorable environement

Regulation and community played a key role in Ilya Volkov’s decision to establish YouHodler in the Canton de Vaud. For the CEO and founder Switzerland offers a smart and rational regulation approach to the blockchain business. Moreover, many blockchain companies have already chosen Switzerland as a home for their headquarters. All this adds to an amazing community of industry professionals and local associations like the Crypto Valley Associations, explains Ilya Volkov who is Board Member of the Crypto Valley Association and Chair of its Western Chapter and functions as a business ambassador of Innovaud.
