WattAnyWhere has secured a new €400,000 loan from Banque Publique d’Investissement (BPI) under the Prêt Innovation R&D (PIRD) program. Earlier in July, the startup annouced a partnership with E.Leclerc Valdahon, a franchise of the renowned french retail chain.

Sion-based startup WattAnyWhere has been granted a new loan of 400,000 from the Banque Publique d'Investissement (BPI) as part of the Prêt Innovation R&D (PIRD) program in France.

The PIRD loan is specifically designed to support research and development projects that drive innovation in key sectors. This funding will enable WattAnyWhere to accelerate the development of its cutting-edge fuel cell technology, bringing the startup closer to providing sustainable and efficient off-grid power solutions to meet the growing demand for renewable energy.

WattAnyWhere’s mission is to revolutionize off-grid power generation with environmentally responsible and highly efficient energy solutions. This loan from BPI marks a significant milestone in its journey, enabling the Valais cleantech to enhance its technology and bring it to the market faster.

“We are grateful to Banque Publique d’Investissement for their confidence in our vision and their support of our R&D efforts through the PIRD loan.” said Didier Roux, CEO of WattAnyWhere. “This funding is crucial as we work to bring our innovative solutions from the lab to real-world applications, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable future.“

Growing presence in France

Earlier this summer the Valais cleantech announced a partnership with French Supermarket E.Leclerc Valdahon, focused on evaluating and optimizing the energy consumption at the Valdahon facility, with the subsequent phase involving the live demonstration of WattAnyWhere’s generator capabilities on-site.
