Large projects and large customers

Torqeedo, which is belongs to the German Deutz Group, is the world market leader in electric drives for boats, producing 50,000 motors per year. These are now connected to the cloud thanks to c.technology’s SaaS solution. This enables new services for boat crews, such as logbook evaluations, and also predictive engine maintenance and installation of updates.
However, young start-ups can also attract large Swiss companies with their products. Rivella, Helvetia, Swiss Post, CSS and Berner Kantonalbank already use hypt’s chatbot solution for recommendation marketing, and it has now completed a pre-seed financing round. The eastern Swiss family-owned company Krüger + Co. has not bought a single product, but a start-up. It has taken over the the Ticino firm Innovida, which has developed an innovative heat pump that is particularly suitable for single-family homes.
Start-ups already established on the market are the target group of Innosuisse’s Swiss Accelerator. Companies can apply for direct financial support for innovation projects with above-average innovation potential, with support per project amounting to a maximum of CHF 2.5 million. Another current call from Innosuisse is not aimed at start-ups, but at service providers in the start-up ecosystem. Innosuisse’s start-up training programme is subject to the WTO Agreement and is therefore put to tender at regular intervals. This is the case again and the Swiss Innovation Agency has taken the opportunity of the call to partially redesign the training. For example, a new module offers digital content with the aim of raising awareness among a broad public about the potential career path of an entrepreneur. In addition, some of the modules for which regional proximity to the ecosystem is important will be tendered in six regions.

I would also like to point out the deadline of 11 September for Venture Leaders Fintech; the winners will take part in a five-day Investor Roadshow in London.
