Sherpany, a Zurich-based meeting software provider, has been acquired by Datasite, a provider of a secure document collaboration platform, thus becoming its strategic business unit. Datasite will integrate Sherpany’s solutions to create a combined offering enhancing board efficiency. Sherpany remains an independent company with no internal changes.

Lugano-based startup Crion, the first integrated mountain sports platform, has secured strategic partnerships with prestigious institutions and brands including the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, supporting its mission to transform alpine tourism. The platform has also already closed a pre-seed round and attracted over 10,000 users.

The selection committee for the InnoBooster program has selected four startups that will each receive CHF 150’000 to propel their development and launch. Their solutions enable the needless administration of drugs, air quality monitoring and detection of cancer cells with a 3D histography platform. In the imaging sector, a new Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) camera technology will enable high-frame rates at low data rates.

Its portable AI-based device, LVOCheck, is designed to identify biomarkers associated with Large Vessel Occlusion strokes within 15 minutes. ABCDx and its partners in the  Eureka Consortium are conducting their first clinical study on 500 patients to optimize the sensitivity and specificity of biomarkers-based stroke diagnosis in pre-hospital settings.

ClearSpace has just won a contract with the UK Space Agency to study the feasibility of an in-orbit satellite refueling mission, an exciting new market for in-orbit services. Earlier in January, the Swiss startup teamed up with industry leader Orbit Fab to create an In-Space Refueling Service.

RigiTech, is adding Medical Drone Service as a new operator using the advanced Eiger drone model to bolster healthcare services in the Netherlands. The drone will most likely be deployed on a route out of Rotterdam. The goal: to transport medical products, in particular blood and medication, to the hard-to-reach and sparsely populated areas of the province of Zeeland. The first deployment is expected in the next months, whereas the route out of Rotterdam is planned for the end of 2024.
