With the integration of Babbly’s pioneering technology for speech development monitoring, Zoundream starts a new era of infant care. This strategic acquisition allows the startup to offer parents and caregivers the most comprehensive technology to support infants’ developmental journey all in one platform.
Zoundream was established with the ambition to help parents better understand and address their babies’ needs. The Basel-based startup develops solutions for continuous, non-invasive, home monitoring of infants’ health - from translating the meaning of baby cries to early detection of potential neurodevelopmental disorders and pathologies. Targeting baby and home consumer companies globally, the company partnered with Maxi Cosi last year, introducing the world’s first baby monitor with Cry Analysis AI technology.
The startup has now announced the integration of Babbly's technology. Babbly is a Canadian startup which developed the world’s most advanced AI technology for analysing infant speech and language development. The company's proprietary technology identifies key features in a baby’s voice and provides insights into their brain development. The company specifically targets early identification of speech and language disorders, which affect approximately 1 in 5 children. The platform can assess developmental risks as early as 9 months by analysing videos of a child's babbling, providing parents with insights into their child's language progress and suggesting activities to enhance development. This solution, developed through years of rigorous scientific and clinical research, will complement Zoundream’s expertise in monitoring infant needs and development through non-invasive analysis of cry sounds.
By integrating Babbly’s technology, Zoundream further reinforces its unique position, becoming the only company worldwide capable of analysing the full range of early infant communication, from the earliest baby cries to the first babbles and words of the toddler. This integration strengthens the company as the leading provider in this space and offers parents and caregivers the most comprehensive technology to support their infants' developmental journey—all in one unique platform.
