The Swiss Start-up Monitor is a non-profit, scientifically backed initiative. Its mission is to generate quantitative data and insights on the development of the Swiss start-up scene to make start-ups an everyday topic and to lower the barrier for knowledge exchange between start-ups.
The basis of the monitor is built by the data of start-ups that register and store their profile on the website. There are good reasons to do that: The companies can not only connect with the Swiss start-up scene, but founders will also find useful tools on the website, e.g. templates for business contracts or free financial tools and the possibility to benchmark their own company.
But of course: the more start-ups register and complete their profile, the more valuable the platform gets. With more start-ups the data will get more reliable and the statistical analysis more meaningful. At the same time the start-ups get more chances for valuable contacts to other companies.
Therefore the Swiss Start-up Monitor has launched an iPad lottery in cooperation with Swisscom. Every complete profile will automatically take part in the lottery. Start-ups can register and / or complete their profile until 31 January. On February 1st, 2013 the winner will be announced on the Swiss Start-up Monitor Homepage and social media.
Not every company qualifies for the Start-up Monitor. The company should be young – founded 2004 or later. And the start-up must be innovative. In general the company must be registered with the commercial register but exemptions are possible, e.g. for start-ups in the founding process. Any registration will be verified by the Start-up Monitor team.
