The Swiss Future Award, an initiative powered by the PETRAM Foundation in partnership with B Lab Switzerland, supporting startups and SMEs driving sustainable transformation in Switzerland. With CHF 50,000 in prizes, the award offers funding and strategic coaching to help businesses scale their impact.
The Swiss Future Award empowers startups and SMEs leading the way in sustainable transformation across Switzerland. Held for the first time by B Lab Switzerland Foundation and enabled by the PETRAM Foundation, the competition was designed to allow impact-driven businesses to accelerate their growth, connect with like-minded changemakers, and inspire a more sustainable economy. This strategic guidance helps winners refine their solutions, expand their reach, and accelerate their impact.
Featuring CHF 50'000 in prizes, the award includes three categories:
- Innovation Award: this category awards CHF 25'000 and 6 months of impact coaching to an organization with breakthrough solutions that challenge the status quo and bring innovative business models, products, or services to the market and drive industry change.
- Environment Award: In this category, CHF 25'000 and 6 months of impact coaching will be awarded to a business that develops measurable, high-impact environmental solutions such as solutions that help to reduce carbon emissions, promote circularity, protect biodiversity, etc.
- Public Choice Award: The 10 finalists from the Innovation and Environmental categories will be put to a public vote. The most voted project will receive extended coaching for 12 months to further develop its impact strategy.
Eligible to apply are Swiss for-profit startups (operating for at least one year) or small to medium-sized enterprises with up to 250 full-time equivalent employees. Ten finalists will be selected and their videos published online from October 1st for the public Voting.
Winners will be announced at the Swiss Impact Forum 2025 on November 12, 2025. This event brings together 450 businesses, thought leaders, and changemakers to drive systemic transformation. As a hub for collaboration and action, the forum is the platform to showcase transformative ideas to other leaders shaping a more regenerative and inclusive economy.
Registration is open until June 30, 2025.
