Swiss Army uses WISeKey satellite to advance real-time tests of strategic projects

Swiss Army is using a WISeSat satellite to conduct real-time testing on different projects including improving secure communications solutions, supporting the monitoring of critical infrastructure and further developing the Swiss Armed Forces' capabilities in space-based cyber security. The second-generation WISeSat satellite was successfully launched in January.
In the context of the defence tech deal, The Swiss Army will use the second-generation WISeSat, equipped with state-of-the-art low-orbit picosatellite technology, to validate and deploy real-time applications, pushing the boundaries of space technology in pursuit of its operational goals. These efforts are also aligned with WISeKey's mission to provide a trusted ecosystem for connected devices and secure communications.
Carlos Moreira, CEO of WISeKey, said: “The launch of the second-generation WISeSat strengthens the strategic collaboration between WISeKey and the Swiss Army. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to integrating advanced satellite technology into secure and innovative applications that meet the evolving requirements of defence and cyber security.”
