Innovate UK’s Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP), which helps innovative US-based SMEs and startups to accelerate business growth by giving them opportunities to collaborate and explore global markets has selected Aseptuva to join the “One Health” AMR program for businesses with a focus on Diagnostics, Antimicrobials, Preventatives, Stewardship and Phage Therapy. The Swiss startup will present its Far-UVC technology designed to prevent hospital-acquired-infections (HAI), at AMR Conference held on February 25-26, 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. This event focuses on discussing strategies for bringing new antimicrobial treatments and diagnostics to the market.
DigiPharm selected to transform Saudi’s healthcare
The Council of Health Insurance (CHI) has selected DigiPharm among the winners of the Innovation Program for Solutions Acceleration and Research (IPSAR) Accelerator program, impressed by their creativity and innovation within the healthcare sector. The Basel-based startup develops value-based healthcare solutions that support organisations in getting the best deals for vital treatments and improving patient outcomes, which aligns with the program’s mission to unleash the potential of the health sector. Its flagship product, Reimburse, a value-based procurement platform, has already been adopted by government clients and private hospital groups.
SmartPetCare joins Nestlé Purina PetCare Europe's Unleashed Accelerator
Focusing on pet’s needs, SmartPetCare developed iKitty Feeder, the first fully automated wet food feeder for cats, designed to run for multiple days without refrigeration. Developed for convenience, health, and sustainability, the iKitty Feeder dispenses portion-controlled, premium-quality wet food through recyclable capsules, keeping cats happy and healthy while simplifying life for their owners. The company has now been selected to join the Nestlé Purina Unleashed Accelerator, the landmark petcare specific accelerator in Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Oceania and Latin America designed to identify and support innovative startups leveraging technology to improve the lives of pets and their parents. SmartPetCare is the second Swiss startup to be selected in the program, after Dogami from the 2023 cohort.
CE Incubator announced the 2025 batch
The annual Circular Economy Transition (CET) Incubator revealed multiple projects selected to further advance their solutions. The 22 contenders in the 2025 batch are tackling key challenges in circularity—redefining materials, rethinking consumption, and creating solutions that drive real impact. During the program, the selected entrepreneurs work on developing their minimum viable product (MVP) and validating their business model, with the support from advisors, experts and our network of impact investors. The batch is Swiss-wide split among cohorts in Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Ticino and Zurich.
