The purpose of the challenge
We can see that the economy we’ve built over the past few decades is reaching its limits with respect to planetary boundaries and social foundations. We need a radical transformation. That's why we want to support Switzerland's transition to a circular economy with this year's Swiss StartCup Challenge.
We need to recover what we lost when we moved to a linear economy by moving back to the circular economy in the way we do business. We would like, in the long run, for circular business models to be the norm in the business world.
Lack of customer awareness, reverse logistics infrastructure, market access and adequate financial solutions are hindering the development of promising circular economy solutions in Switzerland.
We’re convinced that many solutions already exist, and through the Swiss StartCup Challenge, we hope to give these game-changing solutions greater visibility.
The Swiss StartCup Challenge jury
Entrepreneurs, journalists, CEOs, teachers and sustainability managers will form a jury of ten personalities committed to sustainability. This jury will select nine finalists who will be decided by a public vote.
