
With the appointment of new representatives, Veezoo, Meteomatics and ecorobotix have strengthened their activities in the US market. The experience and expertise they bring will play a key role in enabling the startups to set a firm foothold in the region.
Founded in 2016, Veezoo, built a platform that uses natural language processing to make data analysis accessible to non-technical users. Veezoo has now expanded into the US market to accelerate its growth in North America. With this move, the company has appointed Mark Nelson to its Board of Directors. He is the former President and CEO of Tableau, a data analytics company, acquired by Salesforce in 2019. Joining Tableau as Executive Vice President of Product Development, Mark led the global engineering and product teams helping the company broaden and deepen its industry-leading analytics platform before being named President and CEO in 2021. Mark Nelson also spent 17 years as Vice President and Architect at Oracle, working to help build a $6 Billion middleware business. He will provide guidance on product strategy and go-to-market initiatives. Veezoo's expansion and Nelson's appointment reflect its ambition to become a leader in the AI-powered analytics market.
Veezoo provides an experience that allows users to interact with their data in natural, everyday conversation, leveraging AI with a ChatGPT-like interface. New hires: Meteomatics strengthens ties in the US
Meteomatics has significantly enhanced its energy offerings to help the U.S. predict and manage rising energy demand. By providing advanced weather data and analytics, the company enables energy producers and consumers to optimize their operations effectively. This approach allows for better forecasting of energy production from renewable sources, such as solar and wind, which are highly dependent on weather conditions. As the U.S. faces challenges related to increasing energy needs and climate change impacts, Meteomatics aims to empower energy companies with the insights necessary for making informed decisions. This move comes with two appointments: Durjoy Mazumdar as the region’s Head of Sales, while Chris Hyde as Senior Sales Manager for North America. Meteomatics serves more than 600 companies including Cheniere Energy, Tesla Energy, Toyota and 80% of the leading European electricity companies, including ENEL, EDF and Engie. The company has also recently obtained EASA Design Verification Report certification, affirming the safety and technical excellence of its Meteodrones. This certification also enables the Meteomatics to operate more broadly and effectively across various regions and applications.
Ecorobotix appoints new CEO for USA
Ecorobotix, is a Lausanne-based agritech company developing the ARA sprayer, which uses artificial intelligence for precise herbicide application to significantly reduce herbicide use while improving crop yields. The company is making positive progress in the US market – it has opened a new office in Pasco, Washington and is currently hiring a team to fuel activities in the region. The company has expanded its distribution network with new partners. These include; RDO Equipment which offers John Deere and Vermeer equipment, Lasseter Equipment, a John Deere dealer specializing in compact utility tractors, Gator vehicles, and other products. Keithly-Williams specializes in vegetable seed distribution, agricultural fabrication, and nursery services while Campbell Tractor Company provides farm equipment and services. Everglades Farm Equipment offers agricultural machinery and support.
