
Last weekend 120 participants worked 54 hours on 14 start-up projects at the Start-up Weekend in Geneva. The winner of the competition: MySollars.com, a project of the start-up World Climate Credit. MySollars is a platform that allows individuals not only to compensate their carbon footprint but also to get a much better intuitive understanding of their carbon footprint.
At MySollars users can see their carbon footprint, and then can compensate this footprint by investing in projects of their choice. The platform also allows to monitor the carbon footprint and to spread the news about the changes in the personal lifestyle. The beta version of MySollars was published quite recently.
The success at the Startup Weekend comes in due time. World Climate Credit is facing several challenges. The start-ups is looking for investors and additionally there is another competition ahead: World Climate Credit will represent Switzerland in the Global Ideas Competition final in San Jose (USA).
