Since entering the commercialization phase this month, global demand for Cerret has been on the rise. Designed in Geneva, this smart, discreet wristband allows users to quickly and easily alert emergency contacts in dangerous situations.
Personal safety remains a growing concern worldwide, for women, children, and men who face risks such as harassment, violence, and abductions on the streets. While there are various solutions like panic buttons, these options are often unattractive and may not align with users' style preferences.
The newly launched Cerret combines high-end jewelry design with advanced security technology, offering a discreet and stylish alternative to traditional panic buttons. This Bluetooth-enabled safety bracelet features an intelligent SOS system and modern GPS technology, allowing users to quickly notify emergency contacts, loved ones, and authorities in times of danger. Users can trigger an emergency alert by double-pressing the button, which sends phone calls, messages, and real-time location tracking to pre-selected contacts for up to 48 hours, helping to facilitate rapid assistance and potential rescue.
Inspired by a personal incident in his family, Alexandre Cerret developed the bracelet to provide a solution for those who feel helpless in similar situations. This year, Cerret began shipping its luxury bracelets worldwide. Over 150 units have already been shipped to customers in the US, UK, Canada, and the DACH region (Switzerland, Germany, and Austria), with 400 pre-orders in the pipeline. In addition to the bracelet, the Cerret mobile app supports family safety and GPS tracking.
Cerret has been under development since 2022 with support from Fongit through its FONGIT Innovation Fund (FIF), as well as investment from an early-stage backer, providing a total of CHF 250,000 in funding.
As the company continues its commercialization efforts, it is seeking a further CHF 500,000 investment to support marketing initiatives, particularly in the US, expand the team, and introduce new app features such as the ability to contact the police. To aid in these plans, Cerret has already signed a partnership with a security company operating in both the US and Europe.
