Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation (DTN), an economic initiative focused on growing funding for Swiss scale-ups, and the Startupticker Foundation launched the Deep Tech Nation Information Platform, a dedicated resource for venture capitalists (VCs) and institutional investors to navigate Switzerland’s deep tech ecosystem. The platform aims to enhance access to information and promote investment in Swiss deep tech start-ups, particularly during their growth stages.

DTN seeks to strengthen Switzerland’s position as a leading deep tech nation. Joanne Sieber, CEO of DTN, commented, “The Information Platform reflects our commitment to increasing the growth capital available. By efficiently packaging information about the Swiss deep tech ecosystem, we are building a compelling message about the significant financial opportunities investors can find in Swiss innovation.”

Switzerland’s deep tech ecosystem is vibrant and well-established, but its decentralized structure can make it difficult for investors to navigate. The Information Platform has the potential to create a significant impact by serving as a central access point, bringing clarity and structure to an already dynamic landscape. By consolidating existing resources and providing targeted insights, the platform simplifies engagement and unlocks opportunities within the ecosystem.

The initiative is launched in partnership with the Startupticker Foundation. Stefan Kyora, Editor-in-Chief of Startupticker.ch, noted, “The platform provides much-needed clarity for VCs, highlighting opportunities in Swiss deep tech while streamlining access to relevant information.”

Wherever possible, the platform draws on existing content, combines it and summarises important findings. This is already implemented in the introductory texts on the focus sectors – innovative AI, robotics, life sciences and climate tech. The various texts cover key findings from studies, numerous success cases and links to further resources. The platform will undergo several iterations over 2025 to bolster those features that are identified as best serving the target audience.

“The platform’s design reflects the pragmatism and innovation our founders display day after-day,” said Alexandre Meldem, who is responsible for the platform. “Our goal is to ensure that visitors can conveniently find the information they need while providing them with a taste of the famed ‘Swiss touch.’”

The Information Platform is the fruit of a collaboration between many key organizations within the Swiss deep tech ecosystem, including Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation, Gebert Rüf Stiftung, Basel Area, IMD, Innosuisse, SICTIC, Startupticker.ch, Swiss Startup Association, Swisscom Ventures, Startfeld, and UBS.

Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation acts as a catalyst for the Swiss startup ecosystem. The goal is to mobilize around CHF 5 billion annually over the next decade for Swiss start-ups and scale-ups in the deep tech sector, doubling current investment volumes. This initiative is expected to indirectly create up to 100,000 jobs and reinforce Switzerland’s position as a leading deep tech nation.
