
There have been several leadership changes across three startups, with 21Shares appointing a new Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. With their expertise and experience, the new leaders are poised to guide the companies through their next phase of growth.
Squirro, a leading enterprise GenAI platform provider, has named Chris Corrado as its new Chief Executive Officer, Americas. Corrado brings more than four decades of technology and business experience, with a background managing large, global teams driving innovative technologies supporting leading-edge businesses. Corrado has extensive experience in scaling companies as well as building and operating technology platforms on a global scale. Prior to joining Squirro, Corrado was CIO at CardWorks, a leading credit and payments company, where he was responsible for data, technology, and digital. Before that, he was CEO at Sitehands, the world's first IT field services marketplace. He also served as chief operating officer at the London Stock Exchange Group and held CXO positions at leading financial institutions such as MSCI, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch and UBS. His background also includes scaling companies in the telecoms and e-commerce industries including Asurion, eBay and AT&T. In addition, he was an Advisory board member for Crypto.com. In his new role, he will be responsible for scaling the business in the Americas and contributing to the continued growth of the company overall.
Embotech welcomes new Chief Commercial Officer
Embotech, the provider of cutting-edge autonomous driving solutions for logistics, with a focus on Automated Vehicle Marshalling (AVM) in passenger car factories and Automated Terminal Trucks (ATT) at port terminals and logistic centers, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Eva-Maria Beck as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). She brings a proven track record in business development and sales in the B2B deep tech and mobility sector, with experience from Lilium and BCG. In her role, she will drive the Go-To-Market strategy for industrial logistics automation, strengthen Embotech’s commercial expansion and market positioning and leading business development, sales & marketing for our autonomous solutions. 21 Shares makes key leadership changes
Fintech startup 21Shares has made several leadership changes both in the executive and board of directors. Russell Barlow has been appointed chairman of the board of directors and Chief Executive Officer. Russell brings more than 25 years of expertise in regulated asset management. Previously, he was the Global Head of Multi Asset and Alternative Investment Solutions and Global Head of Alternatives at abrdn. Over the course of his career, he has designed, launched, and managed a wide range of investment products. Additionally, Russell has held a position as a Non-Executive Director at Archax, the UK’s first FCA-regulated digital asset exchange.
Edel Bashir assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer and a member of the board of directors, bringing over 20 years of experience in asset management. Previously, Edel was the COO of Multi Asset and Alternative Investment Solutions, COO of Alternatives and a Senior Investment Manager at abrdn. Her expertise includes operational strategy, portfolio management, and hedge fund research.
Additionally, Duncan Moir has joined the company as a member of the board of directors and President, bringing deep expertise in crypto and blockchain strategy. Previously, Duncan was a Senior Investment Manager at abrdn. He is an independent board member of Hedera Hashgraph LLC and an advisor to Web3 companies. A University of Strathclyde graduate with a BA (Hons) in Economics, he is also a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
