Effixis, a consulting firm specializing in Generative Artificial Intelligence, has joined the Artefact group, a global leader in AI and Data consulting. With this acquisition, Effixis is set to strengthen its capabilities and broaden its portfolio while envisioning itself becoming a leading Swiss AI consulting firm.
Effixis, founded in 2017 by EPFL alumni, is a consultancy company specializing in artificial intelligence and business solutions. With currently 24 employees, the company offers a comprehensive range of services, including AI education through its Prompt University initiative, strategic insights using proven AI frameworks, and implementation of Generative AI solutions. Their Prompt University is a major asset, with courses on tools like ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Midjourney. Among its clients are leading Switzerland-based companies in the luxury, financial services, insurance, and healthcare sectors, including Nestlé, Pictet, and Roche.
To accelerate its growth and capabilities, the company has been acquired by Artefact Group, a global data and AI consulting company founded 10 years ago by former McKinsey and Google professionals. With about 1,500 employees worldwide, it has worked on projects such as L’Oréal's Beauty Tech Program and the Carrefour-Google Lab. This partnership also reinforces Effixis ambition to establish itself as a leading Swiss AI consulting firm, in a sector that has so far been very fragmented, with either small players or branches of large groups.
Joining Artefact sets the company on a path of accelerated growth by enabling the company to leverage Artefact's global presence and extensive experience in data and AI solutions. Additionally, Effixis will gain access to new service areas such as data governance, marketing analysis, and data platform development, broadening its portfolio and value proposition. Furthermore, Artefact's established partnerships with industry leaders like Google and Mistral will provide Effixis with cutting-edge technological resources. Effixis brings to the new company its competency in Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance Artefact’s AI service capabilities and a rich clientele in key sectors to enrich Artefact’s mission to accelerate the adoption of data and AI.
Following the acquisition, Effixis will retain its identity and independence within the Artefact brand. The new integrated structure will include two new offices in Switzerland (Lausanne) and Belgium, thereby reinforcing Artefact’s geographic coverage in Europe.
"This strategic partnership with Artefact positions Effixis as a preferred choice for companies seeking to succeed in their AI transformation. By combining our local expertise and agility with Artefact’s global power and resources, we are able to offer a comprehensive and innovative solution, meeting the specific needs of our clients and helping them stay at the forefront of innovation." Remi Sabonnadiere, Partner and CEO of Effixis.
