The Prix Vittoz supports companies from the Canton of Vaud in entering the US market. This year the prize with a total amount of CHF 105’000 has been awarded to four companies.
The PSE, in conjunction with the Economic Promotion of Canton de Vaud (SELT), organizes the “PRIX VITTOZ” to support start-ups in growing their business outside Europe.
Every year 3 to 4 Start-ups will be funded to make 2-3 trips to the USA to:
- Assess and validate market opportunities
- Meet potential partners, agents, clients or future employees
- Rapidly build a powerful and effective US network

Combagroup has developed a new approach for growing salad which saves water, space and energy.
DataCenterVision is a leading software company, with a very innovative technology, enabling global and efficient datacenter management.
L.E.S.S. has developed an alternative to backlighting systems used today in laptops and similar devices. The nanostructured fibre of L.E.S.S. reduces the power consumption significantly.
Mindmaze combines immersive virtual reality, brain imaging and robotics to build novel platforms for neurorehabilitation and game training.
The new Swiss Venture Capital Report was published on 26 January. It analyses 304 financing rounds closed in 2020 and includes further article such as an interview with Michael Hengartner, President of the ETH Board, and a list of Swiss "soonicorns".
