
The regional jury of the Boldbrain Startup Challenge has selected the ten finalists who will present their innovative projects at the Award Ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday, December 13th at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano.
The fifth edition of the Boldbrain Startup Challenge is coming to an end. The acceleration program that kicked off on September 1st has provided twenty selected innovative projects with an opportunity to develop and improve their initial idea thanks to five workshops and numerous coaching hours. On Wednesday, November 30th, the regional jury reunited at the West Campus of Università della Svizzera italiana to evaluate the participating projects and select the ten finalists that will be on stage on December 13th.
The ten finalists selected by the regional jury that move to the next stage of the programme are (in alphabetical order):
AliperTherapeutics (Ticino) initiated by Nicolò Pernigoni, currently working at the Institute of Oncology Research of the Università della Svizzera italiana
CRIMAGNO (Ticino) hybrid of a sustainable design & sport shoe
FormidAbile (Ticino), Edtech / Social enterprise, initated by Chiara Antonietti currently researcher at the Scuola universitaria federale per la formazione professionale EHB HEFP SUFFP SFUVET
GiPSy (Italy), robotic mark for sailing
GreenPowerBox (Ticino), Energy / Cleantech
Healiva / AQUAtryp (Ticino) developing precision medicine for patients with chronic and acute wounds
LogisticLEV (Italy), last mile service electrical vehicle
PieceOfMind (Italy), Group of psychologists and AI experts developing products supporting mindfulness
Revozona (Aargau), Equipment to continuously pre-wash and bleach fabrics before printing and dyeing saving water, chemicals and energy
Zario (Zurich), develops the first digital wellbeing app using artificial intelligence to tailor a specific journey of insights and challenges to help people reduce and replace unwanted screen-time.
The finalists will present their projects at the Award Ceremony on December 13th 2022, starting from 18:30, at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano. The five main prizes of the competition are awarded by a national jury, while the sixth prize is assigned by the public voting conducted among more than 600 attendees expected at the Palazzo dei Congressi.
To participate in the award ceremony - an evening dedicated to innovation in the Canton of Ticino featuring a keynote from a special guest - it is necessary to register via the website www.boldbrain.ch by December 4th 2022.
