Kidemis, Pelt8 and multiple startups selected to present at the upcoming TechTour Sustainable Construction event are developing cleantech solutions to provide better alternatives for aqua farming, sustainability data collection and reporting, among others. During the next weeks of acceleration, the startups will further enhance their solutions with industry experts.
KIDEMIS has been accepted into the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Montreal program (Creative Destruction Lab), a nine-months non-profit objectives-based mentorship program for pre-seed to seed stage deep tech startups who are building massively scalable products/services. The Swiss startup is developing sustainable alternatives for aquafeed through innovative mycelium-based fermentation technology. The startup was founded in 2023 with the aim of upcycling low-value agricultural side-streams into high-quality mycoprotein, which serves as a nutritious replacement for fishmeal in aquaculture. During the CDL program, held in HEC Montréal with a focus on artificial intelligence and data science participants will get access to a rich community of entrepreneurs, investors, scientists and industry experts that collectively volunteer their time to support them in refining their business and investment strategy. Throughout this period, they will engage in five intensive meetings with mentors, which are focused on setting objectives and assessing progress every 8-weeks.

The cohort comprises startups from across Europe, dominated by Swiss startups. ARCALIGNUM, Automated Architecture (AUAR) (UK), BIG SACK, C2CA Technology B.V. (Netherlands), Cemonite (Norway), Climacy, Droople, ecoLocked (Germany), Enerdrape, ENERGAID srl (Italy), enshift AG, esave (Belgium), FLEXOFibers (Spain), Freesuns, GWILEN (France), Heima, MIROS Technology, ParaStruct (Austria), PHEE (Greece), Preflet (Germany), Rematter, Scandens, ScrapBees GmbH (Germany), STEEN Sustainable Energy, SwissInspect, SYSTEM 3E (Poland), TeraSol SA, Thermulon (United Kingdom), Waste to Energy Advanced Solutions (Spain), and yord. Designed to foster meaningful connections, strategic partnerships, and (co-)investments within the Design, Construction, Materials & Infrastructure sectors, the programme cluminates in a live event that will bring together the most promising companies, meticulously selected by a Selection Panel, alongside investors, corporate partners, and industry experts.
Pelt8 selected for Joint Innovation Accelerator Program for Sustainable Finance
Pelt8, the cleantech startup providing a platform to help companies move away from Excel spreadsheets to save time and money with their sustainability data collection and reporting, is one of the ten participants in the Joint Innovation Accelerator Program for Sustainable Finance by Commerzbank in collaboration with Tenity and neosfer. Starting September through to the end of October, the initiative aims to evaluate and accelerate a potential collaboration with Commerzbank through an organized and efficient process in Frankfurt. The program includes sessions and events uniquely tailored to enable collaborations, from open exchanges, to use case definition, PoC roadmap preparation, PoC validation, fundraising, growth hacking, as well as pitch training. The program will conclude with Demo Day on 30 October 2024 at the Impact Festival in Frankfurt, Europe’s largest B2B community for sustainable innovation organized by neosfer.
Another accelerator pass for Manukai
Shortly after entering two accelerators, Manukai has joined Bosch Startup Harbour under the theme of Smart and Software-defined manufacturing. The ETH spinoff offers an AI-powered CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) Copilot that simplifies the programming process within CAM software by learning from programmers' preferences and providing suggestions. By joining the program, Manukai will benefit from a collaboration with Bosch in the field of IT and digitalization, allowing the startup and its early-stage peers in the program to validate their technologies and business models and significantly accelerates new ventures – both on the corporate and startup side.
