Swiss mobile basecamp 2012 is a one day event for swiss companies, aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups providing an overview of the commercial landscape and dynamics of the mobile industry. The event will take place in Bern on 18 January. Mobicamp features an exceptional group of industry experts, who will not only share their experience but also answer questions from start-up entrepreneurs during the mobile clinic. In addition there will be a Dragon’s Den competition for start-ups. The start-up deemed to show the most ‘potential’ will win 2x entrance tickets worth €699 each to Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona plus several other great prizes including tickets to bobmwc.com - an exclusive networking and business development evening event held alongside the Mobile World Congress.
The Dragon’s Den competition is already sold out, but 10 tickets for the event are still left. There are also some CTI subsidised tickets available for start-ups with the CTI Start-up Label. Companies interested in the subsidised tickets should contact Martin Coul immediately (info@mobicamp.ch).
The Swiss App Award Ceremony will take place in Zurich on 27 January. Swiss companies can still submit apps, which have been made available in an App store or were updated between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2011. The application deadline is on 15 January. Award categories are: Best User Experience App, Most Downloaded App, Best Web App, Best Game App, Best Watch App, Best Bank App and App of the Year.
