AI Regulation is moving fast. Not only are the next provisions of the AI Act entering into force on 2 August 2025, but the Swiss Federal Council recently published its approach on how to move forward with AI regulation in Switzerland.
In this webinar, attorney at law Gaspare Loderer will provide an overview of the legal framework that healthcare startups need to consider regarding artificial intelligence and data protection.
Emphasis will be placed on the AI Act, its extraterritorial scope, the different roles and responsibilities and in particular concerning high-risk AI systems. Moreover, general principles of data protection law concerning AI will be explored, with a focus on sensitive data used in healthcare.
The new Swiss Venture Capital Report was published on 26 January. It analyses 304 financing rounds closed in 2020 and includes further article such as an interview with Michael Hengartner, President of the ETH Board, and a list of Swiss "soonicorns".
