Company profile
TIMEREPUBLIK SA
TimeRepublik offers a unique and innovative system to accelerate employee engagement through social collaboration. According to top consulting firms, large companies face the growing challenge of poor employee engagement. Studies confirm that roughly 9 employees out of 10 are not actively engaged in their jobs and thus emotionally disconnected from their workplace. Work is more often a source of frustration rather than fulfillment. If only 1 employee out of 10 works with passion and feels a profound connection to their company, it means that only 1 in 10 drives innovation and pushes the organization forward. Deeper workforce engagement is essential to the bottom line of the company. It has been widely proven1 that higher levels of employee engagement correlate with: - significant increase in operating income (up to 20%) - significant growth in earnings per share (up to 30%) - high employee retention (loss of employees costs companies 0.5 to 2x their annual salary) - improved customer satisfaction scores Although higher levels of employee engagement correlate with improved customer satisfaction scores and talent retention within the company, only large enterprise can afford physical campuses and in-office perks that are popular solutions to stalled employee engagement. TimeRepublik solves the problem by creating similar dynamics digitally and at a fraction of the cost. TimeRepublik facilitates interactions leveraging both employee’s soft skills (their passions, interests, and hidden talents) and professional capabilities, through simple timebanking mechanisms. TimeRepublik offers a web-based platform for employees that want to use time as a currency (TimeCoinsTM) instead of money. Employees earn TimeCoins by sharing their expertise, skills, talent, and passions with other members, creating trustworthy relationships and building reputation. The TimeCoins earned are automatically credited into a virtual wallet and can be used to purchase services from other members. All services are measured by the time it takes to perform them. A user's visibility is boosted by positive feedback, and by awards that are obtained once predetermined goals are achieved. Our experience has shown that the timebanking model creates strong social ties between participants. When adopted by a company, these ties can significantly increase employee engagement and retention rates. The market for corporate talent management softwares continues to surge forward. According to Deloitte, this exciting market is growing at double-digit rates and worth over 5 billion USD. Since every company with 200+ employees can use this software, the potential market size is over 400 million users.5 In particular, Deloitte predicts an explosion of new tools for social recruiting, sourcing, analytics, real-time engagement and feedback, and social recognition: “ [...] Few areas of technology have seen more change, after a half-decade filled with mergers, acquisitions, new mobile applications, and the “socialization” of software [...] ”. TimeRepublik is the most robust, logical, and simple mechanism for empowering people to share a wider spectrum of skills and make meaningful connections. Our technology allows anyone to share their services in exchange for TimeCoins. As a global company operating out of New York, Italy, Switzerland, Brazil, Taiwan, Spain (just to name a few), we are uniquely positioned to scale. We have existing partnerships with large companies, municipalities, universities, nonprofits, and co-working spaces, so as to capitalize on the market’s desire to increase collaboration and engagement within communities. During 2016 we closed our first two contracts with Banca Intesa Sanpaolo, the largest Italian Bank, and with the Norwegian bank Cultura Bank. We have a LOI from Global IKEA and we are conducting active discussions with more 30 companies in Switzerland, Italy, and the U.S. (among them UBS, Abbott, WeWork, and ImpactHub), and several large municipalities and non-profit organizations (the city of Milan, Modena, and Medellin, Colombia. The United Nations Division for Sustainable Development, and UNESCO World Heritage).
