Magnes AG
Magnes AG is a spin-off of the multiscale robotics lab of ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Magnes has developed sneaker-type shoes with integrated sensors to measure how patients walk and apply AI algorithms to calculate gait biomarkers. Our solution is used in leading clinics for disease assessment and monitoring. We also measure how much energy is spent while walking and based on this we estimate the fatigue level of the user. The shoes can give immediate vibrotactile feedback to warn or assist the user (e.g. if the risk of falling is too high or if a correct movement was performed the user gets notified by vibrations in the shoe).
