10 million people worldwide suffer from Inflammatory bowel diseases. Obstruction is a severe complication of this condition. Specifically, 10% of Crohn's disease patients develop recurrent obstruction within the first year, with this number rising to 60% within 10 years?. When not detected in time, these obstructions can lead to surgeries, perforations, and death. We are developing a wearable capable of listening to bowel sounds, detecting obstruction and prevent it.
