Amporin Pharmaceuticals AG is an emerging new biotech startup founded in Basel 2024 by a small team of industry-seasoned drug development professionals. We are developing a breakthrough new class of small molecule drugs that can protect and repair cell membranes as the first oral disease-modifying treatments to stop and reverse the progression of 50 deadly degenerative diseases associated with protein misfolding and aggregation. Together, these diseases affect over half a billion people and kill 3.6 million people each year at a total cost of USD 3 trillion per year. Each of our founders has over 20 years of industry experience leading neuroscience drug discovery and development. Our vision is to cure 6 degenerative diseases with a simple pill, starting with Parkinson’s disease and ALS.
