Swiss Medtech Award

The award recognizes outstanding achievements in the Swiss medical technology industry. As of 2023, the Swiss Medtech Award will have a more targeted selection process without applications from companies. The program has created a nomination committee consisting of seven people whose networks collectively encompass all regions of Switzerland. One member will be an expert familiar with the start-up scene. The nomination committee will undertake the initial pre-selection and choose which companies to submit for jury appraisal. it is no longer possible to apply for the award. 

Criteria

 The following criteria must be met in order to be admitted to the competition. In cases where it is unclear whether a candidate fulfils the criteria, the jury has final say. Official criteria All three official criteria must be fully met. Medical Technology SectorThe companies, their products and solutions must be active in the medical technology industry. Market successCandidates must prove that the goods or services provided have already found success on the market. «Swissness» factorThe achievements and provision of services must have been developed to a significant extent within Switzerland. Factual criteria At least one of the following factual criteria must be met. Proven patient benefitA new product or product line with significant patient benefits has already been launched. Provision of Health carePublic healthcare has been advanced through pioneering, groundbreaking, and innovative technologies or processes. Entrepreneurial achievementOutstanding entrepreneurial performance has been achieved in the recent past. In addition, applicants must read and accept the Terms of Participation.
