Unlimited creativity
Dear reader
What do computer games have in common with neuro-rehabilitation? A lot, says Tej Tadi, CEO of the Lausanne ETH spin-off MindMaze. His innovation is in demand in both markets: as a revolutionary controller, his neurotechnology engine fascinates game developers, and as a therapeutic tool, it promises to improve the quality of life of people with damage to the central nervous system. Tadi announced last week that he has completed a financing round of $8.5 million.
The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona ended yesterday. Dacuda presented a technology that enables printing of 3D selfies and Qipp received the IoT/M2M Innovation World Cup for its innovative smart home solution.
Prizes will be awarded soon in Berlin; namely, at the European GreenTec Awards where three Swiss start-ups are among the nominees – Anderdgy, Amphiro and Mycoffeestar.
In Zurich, meanwhile, media company Tamedia has taken a stake in Hotelcard, provider of a discount card for hotels. And start-up Pingen announced that its cloud-based solution for automated letter dispatch will soon be available in Austria.
A divorce always involves a lot of correspondence, not to mention the psychological and organisational stress. So, two young entrepreneurs from Thun have established a ‘full service agency’ for separations and divorces – Scheidungsagentur.ch has been online since the beginning of the month.
And finally a message for investors: the 49th Swiss Venture Day takes place at SIX Swiss Exchange in Zurich on Tuesday, 17 March.
Have a good weekend.
