Swiss Venture Capital Report makes waves

Medyria AG, a Swiss medtech start-up developing technologies for endovascular catheter navigation and sensing, has completed its Series A financing round of CHF 2.2M.

According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Women’s Report (GEM, 2012: 2), women represent one of the most underutilized resources: “If women are not actively engaged as entrepreneurs, the job creation capacity of half the world’s population is lost”. What about woman entrepreneurs in Switzerland?

Januar bei Google Switzerland mit 8 bekannten UnternehmerInnen und 8 Jungunternehmerinnen lanciert hat.

Der Report analysiert die Investitionen umfassend. Mit überraschenden Ergebnissen: So floss mehr Geld in den Kanton Waadt als in den Kanton Zürich.

En 2014, les start-ups suisses ont récolté 457 millions de francs de la part d’investisseurs dans le cadre de 92 appels de fonds, c'est une progression de 10 pour-cent par rapport à l’année précédente. C’est ce qu’indique le Swiss Venture Capital Report, réalisé pour la troisième fois par le portail d’information en ligne startupticker.ch, en collaboration avec l’association des investisseurs SECA. Le rapport fait une analyse globale des investissements. Et ses résultats sont surprenants: l’afflux de fonds a été plus important dans le canton de Vaud que dans celui de Zurich, par exemple.

For the third consecutive year, the news portal startupticker.ch, in collaboration with the Swiss Private Equity & Corporate Finance Association SECA, is publishing the Swiss Venture Capital Report. The report collected and analysed those financing rounds that were made public. You can download it here.

EffRx Pharmaceuticals SA announced that it has received just over CHF 2.3 million in an equity round from a recent offering. All funds were raised through existing shareholders. The financing will be complemented with a pre-IPO round shortly.
