
After an intense 3-day boot camp filled with valuable sessions on product development, regulatory affairs, intellectual property, and go-to-market strategies, the selected ventures recently pitched their projects to an audience of over 40 people.
The DayOne Tech Accelerator will offer these startups personalized support, from expertise sessions and financial backing to access to seasoned coaches, service providers, and key industry experts. Community events and training sessions are also part of the mix to ensure these ventures reach their full potential.
The three new companies based in Jura are:
OrthoSens: Revolutionizing orthopedic recovery with smart implants to deliver real-time data to surgeons.
OrthoSens is on a mission to make implants talk. The startup aims to provide a comprehensive recovery narrative, replacing static X-rays and hospital visits with a true recovery “movie” of each patient to the surgeon, making them actors and drivers of their own recovery, improving clinical outcomes and leading to a better quality of life. OrthoSens first product is a 3D printed smart orthopedic implant used to correct adult-acquired flat foot deformity affecting more than 10% of the population.
The company is at the forefront of orthopedic healthcare innovation, specializing in the development of implantable technologies that enhance patient outcome and surgical procedures. Leveraging the power of additive manufacturing (3D Printing) and sensing technologies, OrthoSens designs and manufactures the next generations of orthopedic implants equipped with smart features.
Amarastesia: Developing minimally invasive medical devices to improve surgical outcomes and patient experience.
The company led by Dr. Roxana B. Kerns is developing atraumatic and minimally invasive medical solutions. Amarastesia's first product is cerA&Mvix, a universal surgical access device that allows direct visualization into an anatomical cavity and unobstructed passageway for instruments, therefore minimizing trauma and improving patient’s experience.

Altiscreen: Creating handheld analyzers for rapid, decentralized drug and compound detection.
The Courroux-based startup led by Leonard Dumea and Melania S. Miron, Ph.D. Eng. is developing handheld, easy-to-use screening solutions for accurate and decentralized analysis. This innovative analyzer can perform fast and efficient detection of several drugs and compounds. Lightweight but sturdy, ergonomic and customizable, Altiscreen A1 can detect up to 9 substances in one run and it can work with oral fluid, urine, and substance traces.
