Extra boost for water, food and construction solutions

Several Swiss startups are at the forefront of providing sustainable solutions in areas including water, construction, and food. Three startups have been selected to present to a global audience during the TechTour Water Tech event in Copenhagen, three will join the EIT Food accelerator programs and three others are discussing collaboration opportunities with Swiss Prime Site following their impressive performance during the accelerator program.

Thirty-six outstanding startups and scale-ups have been selected to present their solutions at Tech Tour Water Tech 2025 in Copenhagen on June 11–12, including three startups from Switzerland. The selected companies are at the forefront of water technology innovation, addressing critical challenges such as water scarcity, quality, and sustainable management. By attending the TechTour event, they will also have the chance to connect with industry leaders and foster new collaborations.

  • Droople provides a full IoT solution to monitor water treatment systems, sanitary ware and appliances to monitor them, predict their maintenance, automate the procurement of their consumables, and enable water-energy savings for service operators and their end-customers.
  • Evodrop develops water treatment systems such as their EVO filter which removes 99.99% of all pollutants from the water without attacking the valuable minerals. This filter technology is one of the lowest on the market: pollutants are filtered out from a size of 0.55 nanometres.
  • Tethys Robotics developed an underwater robot (TethysOne) to handle inspection tasks in challenging environments.

Swiss Prime Site support three winners
More than 70 companies applied for the 25th edition of Swiss Prime Site Start-up Accelerator Programme, which connects startups with one of Europe’s leading real estate firms. Ten promising startups in Cleantech, Proptech, and Enterprisetech pitched their solutions. Three startups impressed the jury most and will be moving forward in discussions with Swiss Prime Site for pilot projects and collaboration opportunities. ecoLocked - creates functional, CO2-negative building material additives, VunaNexus AG - uses a patented technology to transform human and livestock urine into two valuable products such as fertilisers and Quanthome – developed a web application providing comprehensive insights to drive data-driven real estate investment decisions.

EIT Food Accelerator supports Niatsu, Trilliome, Chonova
The EIT Food Accelerator Network (FAN) programme has welcomed its 8th cohort of 65 agrifood startups selected from over 300 applications, with support from 60+ industry experts. Among them are three Swiss startups. Niatsu which provides comprehensive solutions for carbon accounting and climate data; Trillome, harnesses the power of the gut to enhance brainpower, to provide microbiome-targeting precision nutraceuticals; Chonova enables in-line measurement of material structure to optimize product quality and production efficiency, through a proprietary patented technology. Their first focus is chocolate confectionery, empowering manufacturers to reach perfect chocolate detachment from the molds at optimum line speed.
Over the next 3–6 months, the EIT FAN team will support the chosen startups in validating their technology, accelerating their commercial readiness and connecting them to the leading actors within the food system.
