Cewas Call for Ideas in water management

Cewas is a Swiss non-profit association specialised in improving business practices in water and sanitation through training and awareness-raising so as to increase the sector’s integrity and sustainability. Every year, the organisation awards individuals or teams with the most outstanding sustainable ideas in water management.

The cewas Call for Ideas 2016 seeks to honour the most promising, interesting and creative idea in sanitation, water and resource management for the poor. Cewas welcomes ideas in the field of: Community & capacity development, Training & coaching, Consulting, design & engineering, Contracting & building, Supplying & dealing and Service provision.

Eligible to apply are individuals who able to read, write, speak and understand English, individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and put forth a good faith effort to implement their proposed idea. Participants can apply individually or in a team, however, the call will consider the team in its entirety as an individual and the leader of that team is to conduct all communication and follow all other rules as if he or she were working individually. Also candidates may be from any academic disciplines and should be applying for the cewas start-up program for the first time.

Cewas startup program
The cewas startup program provides entrepreneurs with the resources they need to transform their idea into a working business in water and sanitation. The program enables them to acquire skills with in a short span of time through practical advice from expert coaches and coaching. The availed courses are scaled to enable candidates acquire the knowledge they need to develop their idea, create a strong business model, perfect their pitching skills, launch and manage business.

Application can be submitted until 15 May 2016.
