Bio Europe in Stockholm hosts 33 Swiss companies

A delegation of 33 Swiss startups and industry players in the life sciences sector participates in Bio Europe, a global life sciences trade fair that unites the ecosystem to learn, forge partnerships and propel innovation. Innosuisse is supporting 16 of the participating startups.

Currently in its 30-year-edition, BIO-Europe remains Europe's leading partnering event, for the life sciences ecosystem, providing an exceptional opportunity to explore the latest trends learn and connect with potential partners. The past event attracted 5,800 attendees, representing more than 2,900 companies from over 60 countries, and 30,000 one-to-one meetings occurred. The upcoming trade fair takes place from 4-6 November in Stockholm, Sweden.

The SWISS BIOTECH Pavilion at BIO-Europe with a delegation of 33 companies, including startups, researchers and industry players, was organized by Switzerland Global Enterprise in close collaboration with the Swiss Biotech Association and supported by Innosuisse and the Swiss Business Hub Stockholm. Innosuisse supports 16 startups to participate and showcase their innovations.

The startups supported by Innosuisse are:

Amphilix AG – innovative technologies for biopharmaceutical development and production.

ASTRA Therapeutics GmbH – precision drug engineering across the whole range of parasitic diseases.

Cellestia Biotech AG – first-in-class gene therapies for autoimmune diseases and multi-drug-resistant cancers.

Cellvie AG– therapeutic mitochondria transplantation, a novel treatment approach aimed at the cellular energy metabolism.

FluoSphera SA – high-throughput screening services using innovative fluorescence-based technologies.

HekeTiss SA– is developing TrophiPatch, a cell-based skin patch that promotes superior cicatrization of skin wounds stem thanks to angiogenic and regenerative power of its cellular constituent: stem cells derived from the adipose tissue.

InCephalo AG – next-generation therapies for brain cancers based on its proprietary Compartment Lock technology, also called C-Lock

Isospec Analytics SA – biomolecular analysis technology that identifies unknown molecules at scale.

metaLead Therapeutics AG – develops treatments against toxic metal poisoning such as lead.

MPC Therapeutics AG – cellular rejuvenation to fight cancer and degenerative pathologies.

Nagi Bioscience AG – medtech device for fully automated and standardized substance testing on micro-organisms, thus replacing animal testing.

NXI Therapeutics AG – novel therapy for autoimmunity and organ transplantation.

Reconnect Labs AG – is developing innovative, rapid-acting and sustainable therapies for affective disorders, neurodegenerative disorders and chronic pain.

Synendos Therapeutics AG – a new class of small molecules for treating a wide range of Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders.

Topadur Pharma AG – portfolio of drug candidates to treat aging-related diseases like chronic wounds, skin fibrosis, age-related macular degeneration, colorectal cancer, hair loss and skin aging.

Vandria SA – Mitophagy inducers to treat age-related and chronic diseases.

BioVersys – develops novel antibacterial products for serious life-threatening infections caused by multi-drug resistant ("MDR") bacteria.

Translation-X – is developing selective mRNA translation as a therapeutic avenue for autism spectrum disorders.

Regenlabs AG – provides medical devices for cell therapies and the preparation of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the patient's blood.

Superlab Suisse AG – provides innovatively designed laboratory facilities and state-of-the-art equipment as well as professional and concierge services and funding support for companies working in biotech, pharma and medtech.

PDC Therapeutics – is developing targeted Polymer-Drug Conjugate technologies that aim to provide patients with an optimal therapeutic index.

Insphero AG – organ-on-chip solutions for drug discovery and safety testing.

Molecular Partners – is developing a new class of biological therapies known as DARPin therapies for oncology and infectious diseases.

OM Pharma SA – prevention of recurrent respiratory and urinary tract infections, also active in the treatment of vascular diseases.
