
Two fintech startups have been selected to join the Tenity accelerator, while two others have been awarded in the WealthBriefing Swiss Awards for their significant impact in the financial sector. Additionally, Medtech startup Enhance-d prize a $5000 cash prize from the Qatar Development Bank while Septify's CTO was awarded the Gunnar Nicholson Gold Medal Award.
Eleven promising fintech startups have been selected for the Tenity Flagship Fin/Tech Accelerator in Zurich, selected from a pool of over 200 applications. Among them are two Swiss startups: aDNA, provides a software solution to help companies store, organize, verify, share, and hash their critical data and events including incorporation documents, financial reports, contracts, and more on the blockchain, providing transparency and trust. Omnilx, helps lawyers and paralegals to handle legal cases quicker and more independently by providing a dashboard that prepares the analysis and answer complex legal questions with AI. This cuts down costs by up to 80%.
During the next four months, these startups will engage in a program featuring workshops and events focused on product-market fit, marketing, go-to-market and fundraising. Besides receiving personalized support from the Tenity team, participants will benefit from the extensive Tenity ecosystem, which includes over 300 alumni from its fintech-focused programs, more than 200 mentors, and a vast network of 200+ investors. The program will conclude with a Demo Day event on 11 June 2025 where the startups will showcase their progress and pitch to an audience of investors, corporate partners, and industry leaders.
Two further fintechs were awarded in the 2025 WealthBriefing Swiss External Asset Management (EAM) Awards 2025, which recognizes outstanding companies in different sectors of the financial industry. Sygnum won a prize in the category Digital Assets Offering or Service. Based in Switzerland and Singapore, Sygnum provides institutional-grade security, expert personal service and portfolio of regulated digital asset banking, asset management, tokenization and B2B services to empower professional and institutional investors, banks, corporates and DLT foundations to invest in digital assets with complete trust.
Zurich-based aixigo AG also secured a prize in the category CRM System – Highly Commended. Founded in 2019, the startup built the world’s fastest API-based wealth management platform called aixigo:BLOXX for investment advisory, portfolio management, portfolio risk management, portfolio analysis and portfolio monitoring. The platform allows users to design customized wealth management services, offering tools for portfolio management, financial planning, and client advisory.
Seprify's CTO awarded a prize
TAPPI, the leading association for the pulp, paper, tissue, packaging and converting industry, has named Wadood Y. Hamad, a TAPPI Fellow, the winner of the prestigious Gunnar Nicholson Gold Medal Award. Hamad is Chief Technology Officer at Seprify AG (Switzerland), where he leads efforts to scale-up the production of cellulose particles and hybrid materials, including a flagship product, cellulose white pigment, and develop applications in a multitude of sectors spanning foods, pharma/nutraceuticals, cosmetics, paints, coatings and organic electronics. His work includes 33 patents and 150+ peer-reviewed book chapters, scientific papers, and authoritative reviews. Hamad is the author of two seminal monographs, Cellulosic Materials: Fibers, Networks and Composites (Kluwer Academic, 2002) and Cellulose Nanocrystals: Properties, Production and Applications (Wiley, 2017). A forthcoming monograph, Bio-derived Electronic and Photonic Materials: Cellulose Nanocrystals and Beyond, will be published by Wiley in 2026.
