Seven Swiss startups have been awarded prizes of various sizes and forms, recognizing their determination and innovative approach to addressing tough challenges. The recent award competitions took place in Europe.

Swiss Medtech startup AiMorphous Health (AH), co-founded by San Pun and Daniel Shoukier, and alumni of DayOne Tech, has won the prestigious YScience Pharma Pitching Competition at Slush 2024 in Helsinki, securing a cash prize of €5000. The startup is developing an AI-powered blood diagnostics solution that delivers daily, sensitive and accurate monitoring of blood activities leading to thrombosis and bleeding. By utilizing breakthrough biomarkers of the blood clotting system, the device enhances cardiovascular health, contributes to preventing cardiovascular distress and improving heart-health and longevity through evidence-based health monitoring. It aims to reduce massively the mortality and burdens due to #1 cause of death.

Swiss Innovation Challenge awards Elythor
The Swiss Innovation Challenge 2024 has awarded Elythor by Harry Vourtsis and Konstantina Panagopoulou the first place prize of CHF 20’000. The startup impressed the jury with its drone technology that combines the precision of multi-copters and the endurance of fixed-wing drones with inflight shapeshifting to create an agile, accurate, and robust robot. This allows the drone to conduct inspections in confined and complex spaces and travel the long distances required for power infrastructure. A special prize of CHF 12’500 for the category of construction was awarded to Schaffhausen-based company Fixpod GmbH developing a connecting element for prefabricated installations of cable ducts.

Sharekey awarded in Paris
SHAREKEY Swiss AG, the company redefining Business Privacy, has been awarded Most Innovative Solution at CYBER NIGHT 2024 in Paris. Sharekey is an all-in-one collaboration app designed for secure business communication. It features app-to-app encryption with decentralized keys, ensuring user privacy and data control. Ideal for executives and legal staff, Sharekey facilitates confidential messaging, file sharing, and video conferencing across devices, all while complying with Swiss privacy laws and reducing carbon footprints through efficient data sharing.

CLIMADA receives four million coins
The Innovation Panel at the Swiss Payment Forum has selected CLIMADA as the winner of the four million Swiss Payment coins. The startup offers climate risk analytics through its software solution designed to efficiently deliver forward-looking analysis for the exposed locations of a client, covering the most acute and chronic hazards.

Authena brings home prize from Loomish Awards
Authena has won the Beauty Innovation Award for AI Solutions for Beauty, Cosmetics & Personal Care Supply Chain Management, recognizing its dedication and efforts to improve transparency, efficiency, and sustainability in the beauty industry. The company’s plug & play solution allows for monitoring, tracking and authenticating single products using IoT and blockchain. The accompanying dashboard is an AI enabled tool that allows brands to steer the entire supply chain in real-time.

Algorized and Dynex nominated Next Big Things in Tech
Through its sensor-agnostic software, Algorized offers a solution that transforms off-the-shelf wireless sensors into accurate people-sensing solutions. The initial focus is on life-saving applications, such as locating individuals trapped in buildings during disasters. The company has now formed strategic partnerships with major manufacturers of ultra-wideband chips and conducted four paid pilot programs in the automotive and industrial automation sectors. The company has been listed in the Fast Company’s Next Big Things in Tech 2024. Also in the spotlight is Dynex, a Quantum-as-a-Service (QaaS) technology solutions provider based in Vaduz Lichtenstein.

Ponos technology joins CV Labs Acceleration program
The 7th Batch of the CV Labs Accelerator has revealed the nine from around the world including Ponos Technology from Switzerland that are enrolled in the latest edition. Ponos specializes in R&D of hardware-software optimized Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) solutions for Web3 infrastructures. Their vision is a decentralized, secure internet that ensures privacy. They propose integrating hardware acceleration into ZK provers to enhance proof generation efficiency, aiming for standalone or integrated System-on-Chip solutions. The founding team has extensive experience in cryptographic hardware engineering to drive this vision forward.
