Cyber Startup Challenge

Under the motto «Security of Artificial Intelligence», innovative solutions in the field of security of machine learning models (ML) and security checks in the field of artificial intelligence are being sought. Startups can submit their proposed solutions for the Cyber Startup Challenge 2024 until 31 August 2024. The three startups with the most innovative technology solutions will present their proposals at the Cyber Defence Campus Conference on 30 October 2024 in Bern. A jury of experts from the DDPS will select the best solution during the conference. The startup that wins the challenge will receive a contract for the integration of a so-called proof of concept, in which the company can demonstrate its technology solution in the DDPS environment.

Technology is related to AI security testing Technological relevance and usability for the Swiss defence sector Feasibility of the project Innovation factor and impact potential for the Swiss defence sector Viability of the technology concept Dual use (civilian, military) Companies from Switzerland are rated higher; however, the start-up can be international. The start-up is less than seven years old as of October 2024 The founders are still investors and actively involved in the The company has at least three employees, including active founders The organizers do not seek solutions that require significant changes to infrastructure or that could pose risks. They are not interested in concepts, studies or solutions that are at a very early stage of development. And they are not interested in consulting proposals or non-technical solutions.
